Today, materials are available such as granite and marble veneers that are laminated to aluminum honeycomb to reduce weight. Architectural details such as columns, crown moldings, marbles, granites and decorative glass are being incorporated into living spaces. Architectural treatments like sohji screens, draperies and sophisticated shades are often used. Ceilings are done in unique designs that create space in an illusionary way, often using mirrors to create an expansive look.
